In order to play .ram files using Edubuntu, I installed RealPlayer10:
Download realplayer_10.0.6-0.0-i386.deb
cd ~/Desktop
sudo apt-get install libstdc++5 (infact I had already done this step when I installed the Flock browser)
sudo dpkg -i realplayer_10.0.6-0.0-i386.deb
